I have tasked my students to write an essay on electric cars and the advantages or impact this provides to society. I have been very conscious and a strong advocate of environmentalism, and I would want the same for my students. After all, we are like their second parents already and if the home does not instill the value of environment consciousness to their kids, then who else will? I believe this is my responsibility as their mentor.
I had a few interesting submissions which I had compiled from the rest of the papers passed to me. I was very happy with the way some of my students answered and how aware they are of the problems happening in the world. I have asked some of them to read their essays aloud, hoping to provide a way for other students to be more aware and open about this topic. This is one of the ways by which I can contribute in making the world a better place for us to live in.

In a few months from now, we will be well on our way in trying to get those Christmas lists crossed out and be all fussed up with all the preparations for the incoming holiday season. This is truly the season to be merry, to gather up with friends and family and to be thankful of the blessings that has been given to you for the past year. Christmas truly warms up anyone’s heart, and it is a great way to cheer up those children just like you would get excited when you were a little kid.
But with all those preparations required from you, you would often get frustrated since you have a lot of things on your hands. The food, the clothes you would wear, and the gifts. Yes, the gift giving can be a pretty daunting task when you would want to pick out some great items for your loved ones. And when it comes to gift giving, then handmade wooden pens should be at the top of your list. They are great to be distributed to your family and friends, and be assured that they will make good use of it rather than other options that would end up in the trash or be part of the post-Christmas clutter. Give something useful, and be remembered with those intricate wooden pens.

There are different types of modern pens that can be categorized by the kind of writing tip or point. A ballpoint pen dispenses ink by rolling a small hard sphere made of brass, steel, or tungsten carbide. The ink dries almost immediately on contact with paper. Some ballpoint pens are designed as a 2 color pen, where you twist the pen one way and one color is available, such as black, and twist it the other way and another color, such as red, can be used.
A ballpoint pen is generally inexpensive and reliable. It has replaced the fountain pen as the most popular instrument for everyday writing. The fountain pen uses water-based liquid ink delivered through a nib. The ink flows from a reservoir through a “feed” to the nib and then through the nib, due to capillary action and gravity. The nib has no moving parts and delivers the ink through a thin slit to the writing surface. The ink reservoir of a fountain pen can either be refillable or disposable.

If you are thinking that pens are boring, you might consider that again when you get introduced to Swiss pens. These kinds of pens have lots of different functions aside from letting you write down notes. They are also very versatile that you can also use some of them under water. Try to also think of a flashlight in your pen, and that’s what they are.
But one of the most special ones is the Wagner Swiss pens. They come in different finishes and uses plus they can serve you more than to write. Some of them even have a 2 or 4 GB flash drive that has a plug and play technology. So if you want a pen that has lots of uses, try using one of those!

There are certain conditions to be fulfilled to come up with a will and testament. A legal will is possible only if the person writing it is at least 18 years old. There must be an explicit expression that what he is composing is a last will and testament. The person must be of sound mind at the time of the signing. And, it must be dated, signed and witnessed by at least two people.
A legal will gives the owner the peace of mind that when his time comes, all his intentions about his properties will be followed. There is nothing more devastating than having family members fight over what is left of the assets of the deceased. Unfortunately, we see this happen quite often. Siblings become enemies and families are broken. What is lamentable is that this could have been prevented. Preparing a legal will could have avoided this misfortune.

Advance directives give you a voice in decisions about your medical care when you are unconscious or too ill to communicate. As long as you are able to express your own decisions, your advance directive will not be used and you can accept or refuse any medical treatment. But if you become seriously ill, you may lose the ability to participate in decisions about your own treatment. That’s when your advance directive becomes important. Advance directives should be registered with the living Will registry.
Preparing an advance directive should be done with a lot of thinking. You can consult an attorney but more important is discussing your plans with your loved ones. This is not a very pleasant topic to talk about. In fact, it is something that you will be tempted to keep putting off. But after you have gone through the process you will feel secure in the thought that you have helped made decisions so they will not feel any guilt or remorse.

When Christmas comes, families rush to stores to buy gifts for relatives and friends. And as we all know, this is never an easy task. First, there is the cost entailed when giving presents. When you give a gift to one person, you cannot simply ignore the rest of the family, especially if they are very close to you and your own family. And even when the economy’s down, people won’t destroy the holiday spirit and act like some scrooge. Gifts are part of the tradition, and they will be given by hook or by crook.
Second, there is the challenge of putting that special touch on presents. Everything on stores seems mass-produced and commercialized. Thus, holiday photo cards can be an economical and unique alternative to store-bought gifts. Instead of giving individual presents, the card can be addressed to the whole family from your family, and be given along with perhaps a box of pastries. The photo can show a picture of your family, or even the two families together, which gives the card a personal touch.
